Industrial Metrology

We provide on-site dimensional inspection services utilizing the most accurate and precise portable CMM (coordinate measurement machine) equipment available. We perform reverse engineering, dimensional and geometric part inspections, equipment alignment, large-scale laser scanning (plants/facilities), and small-scale laser scanning (reverse design).

Some of our state-of-the-art reverse engineering equipment includes a FARO Laser Scanner LS 880, FARO Laser Tracker Xi, and a FARO 8Õ Platinum Articulated Arm.

Tracker:

accuracy  4/10 mil + 1/100 mil per foot

precision  4/100 mil + 1.25/100 mil per foot

Arm:

accuracy  1.0 mil

precision  8/10 mil

Industrial Metrology Applications:

Alignment, Civil Surveying, Deflection Assessment, Dimensioning, Equipment Installation, Heavy Industrial Assembly, Inspection, Large Product Scanning, Leveling, Part Modification, Preventative Maintenance, Motion Calibration, Motion Evaluation, Plant/Facility Mapping & Modeling, Quality Control, Shaping, Surfacing, Reverse Engineering, Wear Analysis, Etc.

Industrial Metrology Industries:

Aeronautics, Aluminum, Automotive, Chemical, Concrete & Aggregate, Consumer Products, Defense, Earthmoving, Food Processing, Forestry, Gear Boxes, Glass, Government, Mining, Non-Ferrous, Paper & Pulp, Plastics, Power Generation, Precision Manufacturing, Printing, Prototyping, Satellite, Stamping, Steel, Tire, Titanium, Transportation, Etc.

Our industrial metrology instruments have been tested, inspected, and compensated against FARO working standards that have been calibrated using the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) artifacts. All Calibrations conform to procedures developed in accordance with ISO-10012, MIL-STD-45662A; in addition to the SME B-89 standard for laser trackers.
